NPFL: Katsina United appoint Makinwa

Ahead of the 2019 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Katsina United have appointed Henry Makinwa as their new coach, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

BSN reports that the club has been without a coach since Abdullahi Biffo left the team last season.

Makinwa on his part dumped Abia Warrior last season due to disagreement between him and the club management.

Katsina United management announced his capture on Saturday on a year deal.

“Katsina United FC board under the new chairman Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi have confirmed the appointment of Henry Makinwa as new Head Coach after the former Abia Warriors gaffer agreed to a one-year deal to succeed Abdullahi Usman Biffo who resigned a few months ago.” the club said in a statement," the club wrote.

Bishir Sadauki who was in charge of the team temporarily after Biffo left has also been confirmed as assistant coach of the team.

The duo are expected to resume duties on Monday and start preparations for new domestic season.
