The rescheduled match day 15 fixture between Jigawa Golden Stars and Akwa United was played today in Kaduna BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The first 45 minutes saw little fireworks as none of the sides was able to break the deadlock and the second half was heading same way until late goals from both sides ensured the game ended on a high note.
Akwa United might have thought they'd won all 3 points when Nasiru Jibril scored for them with a minute left on the regulation time only to concede a penalty almost immediately which was converted by Samuel Stone in the 4th minute of additional time.
Kennedy Boboye and his boys will be gutted not to have taken the 3 points which would have placed them level on point with Kwara United and Kano Pillars but will be happy with the fact that they are just 2 points away from both teams.
Jigawa Golden Stars on their own will be happy to have rescued a point from the game despite conceding very late to keep them a little afloat of the relegation zone.
With the second stanza of the league set to kick-off soon, all the 20 teams are expected to go neck to neck either for the trophy, a place on the continent or a bid to avoid the drop as everyone is involved in a fight.
