NPFL: Maikaba Advises Plateau United General Manager To Withdraw Statement

Head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League club, Plateau United, Abdul Maikaba, has advised the club General Manager, Pius Henwan to withdraw the statements he made about slashing of salaries, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Following the 0-2 home defeat in the match-day One of the Nigeria Professional Football League to Kwara United, the club GM read a riots act to the players.
He said the entire team will be placed on half salary due to poor form and display.
His action generated a lot of actions and reaction among the football fans across the country.
Maikaba while speaking, he said the statement should just be a wake up call players to the players.
"I'm trying to convince the General Manager to withdraw that statements because I don't think it will work for us, Maybe by tomorrow he will talk again.
"I told him that is not the right decision and he should just said is trying to tell the players to wake up. It has happened before is just an act of annoyance .
"I have discussed with the players and I told them to be rest assured that nothing will happen and they should continue on their job and there is nothing like that in their contract," he said.
