Former champions, Plateau United were the only side with maximum three points on the road pulling a surprise slim win 1-0 over Kano Pillars in Kaduna while Remo Stars tasted their first NPFL defeat at Gombe United, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
In Kaduna, Plateau United defeated host Pillars by a lone score by Sunday Anthony in the 84th minute.
At the Pantami Stadium, Remo Stars suffered their first defeat of the season as they lost 1-0 to Gombe United with Ibrahim Yahaya scoring the only goal in the 15th minute.
However, in Ibadan, returning Sunday Faleye was the hero for resurgence Shooting Stars as they recorded a 1-0 win over the hard fighting Dakkada Fc at the Adamasingba stadium.
At the Goodswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Femi Thomas was the hero for the visiting Heartland FC as they held the champions Akwa United to a goalless draw.
Thomas saved two penalties in quick succession from Ubong Friday and nullified all the efforts of the Promise Keepers.
