It was a good outing for Kano pillars on day 3 of matchday 14 of the Nigeria Professional Football League as they secured a 2-1 win over Abia Warrior, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Since the start of the league, the Mai Su Gida boys have been having it difficult to secure points either at home or away.
At the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna, it was Kalu Nweke who opened the scoring for Abia Warrior in the 16th minute before Saidu Salisu equalised in the 27th minute.
Abdullahi Musa 51st minute goal ensured that Pillars secured a maximum point at home.
Heartland FC of Owerri continues their resurgence as they played out a 1-1 draw against host Katsina United.
Sani Faisal netted the opening goal for Katsina United in the 25th minute while Jonas Emmanuel scored a leveller 5 minutes later.
In Lafia, Chijioke Alakwe 23rd minute goal gave Nasarawa United a 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes.
At the Aper Aku stadium in Markudi, Remo Stars suffered another defeat as they lost 1-0 to Lobi Stars courtesy Gabriel Wassa Lone strike in the 20th minute.
