  NPFL Matchday 14 Roundup: Rivers United Shoot Down Rangers As Sunshine Stars Back To Winning Ways   Sampson Adedeji Action continued on the second day of matchday 14 of the Nigeria Professional Football League and it was a good day for Rivers United and Sunshine Stars, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Rivers United continues to demonstrate their willingness to push for the title this season as they defeated visiting Rangers international of Enugu by a lone goal scored by Nyima Nwagua. At the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Sunshine Stars returned to winning ways as they secured a  slim 1-0 win over Kwara United. The Akure Gunners started the season on a strong note but the last 3 matches have been a bit difficult for the team. They regained their momentum on Sunday as Abdul Taofeek 2nd minute goal secured maximum points for them. Wikki Tourists did enough to secure a valuable away point at the Adamasingba stadium. They held nullified all the attacking threats thrown at them by the Shooting Stars attackers and played out a goalless draw. Champions, Akwa United came back from a goal down to beat city rival Dakkada FC 3-2 at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo. Femi Ajayi put Dakkada ahead in the 17th minute while Samad Kadiri levelled up the game in the 30th minute. Wisdom Fernando restored Akwa lead in the 51st minute, with Ezekiel Bassey making it 3-1 in the 75th minute. Rivio Ayemwenre reduced the deficit for the away side in the 79th minute but the Promise Keeper did enough to see the game through. The rest of the games are slated for Monday.
