NPFL MD 31: Kano Pillars Playing Catch Up On Akwa United As Enyimba Loses Further Ground

The race for the 2021 NPFL title is getting more interesting as we might have to wait till the blast of the final, BSNSports.com.ng reports
On Sunday evening, Kano Pillars puts up a contender display to dispatch Plateau United 3-0 to the regret of fish.
Akwa United meanwhile got an important away point on Sunday against Plateau United which further put them in pole position for their first ever domestic league.
The Promise Keepers who went 18-games unbeaten before losing to Katsina United late last month a presently 2 points ahead in the title push but could go six points clear next match day should their rivals drop point while they will be counting on their home advantage for the all important three points.
Things kept deteriorating for Enyimba at this point and one could practically say they're out of the title race but mathematically stand a chance of winning it should things go in their favour. They were held to yet another 1-1 draw at home but this time by Stanley Eguma's Rivers United.
It wasn't a wasted efforts and journey for MFM FC who picked a point in the far North against NPFL whipping boys, Adamawa United.
Kwara United defeated Enugu Rangers 2-0 while Wikki beat Dakkada 2-1.

Akwa United leads the pack with 57 points, two ahead of closest rival, Kano Pillars and the relegation zone has Adamawa United deeply rooted to the bottom with 23 points.
