NPFL MD 6 Report: Enyimba Move To Third After Defeat To Wikki Tourists

Adamawa United and Enyimba kicked off the Monday double header at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi and it was the People's Elephant who took all the three points, BSNsports.com.ng reports.
Less than 10 minutes into the game, Anayo Iwuala fires past Adamawa United goal-keeper Philemon following a defensive mix-up by in the defence.
Four minutes later a great opportunity fell to the home side when a defensive mix-up by Enyimba allows Ibekwe to skip past goal-keeper Noble, but he dilly-dallies before aiming for the post and Noble recovers in time to claim the ball.
And in the 32nd minute, Dare Ojo's crossed a low ball into the box which Imo Obot tapped into the net to make it 2-0 for Enyimba at the break.
Idris Abubakar reduced the deficit for Adamawa United when he converted from the spot on the hour mark.
The woodwork denied Enyimba the third in the closing stages of the game.
With the victory, Enyimba moved up to third on the log and Adamawa United remain rock bottom without a win.
In other game of the day at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Wikki Tourist got their second win of the season beating Jigawa Golden Stars 2-0.
Usman Abd'Allah's boys got through Nazifi Yahaya, who scored from the edge of the box in the 39th minute and then doubled their lead in the 79th minute through Promise Damala.
Wikki moved up to 11th on the log a point above their evening's opponent, Jigawa Golden Stars.
The round's matches will be completed tomorrow at the Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano between Kano Pillars and Rivers United which will be live on NPFLTv and NTA by 4pm
