By Omolagba Oluwayemi
MFM FC of Lagos on Monday morning defeated Wikki Tourist of Bauchi to move to 10th on the log, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Olukoya Boys had their match against Wikki Tourist initially scheduled for Sunday evening moved to Monday morning due to heavy downpour which left the Soccer Temple stadium soaked and unplayable.
The match started with both sides showing their desire to pick the three points but the first-half ended without a breakthrough for either sides.
In the second half, captain Nelson Kenedinum rose to his responsibility blasting a rebound into the visitors net from Clement Ogwu’s free kick after a foul on Oladayo Alabi.
MFM FC have now kept seven clean sheets in nine games in the second stanza (including a 3-0 walkover victory over FC Ifeanyi Ubah) and are lost only one match since the start of the second stanza.
With MFM FC up to 10th on the log, Wikki Tourist remained 16th two points above relegation zone.
MFM FC goal-keeper, Adeniyi Bamidele was presented with MFM FC's player of the month of May award before the start of the match.
