NPFL: Nasarawa United Hit By Mass Exodus Of Players By Our Reporter Nigeria Professional Football League side, Nasarawa United are witnessing a mass exodus of players. It was gathered that eleven key players have left the Solid Miners, with a few more also heading for the exit door during the off-season. Two of the players are moving abroad while others are joining other NPFL clubs who now see the Lafia based side as a veritable hunting ground for players. Last season's top scorer and NPFL Player of the Season, Silas Nwankwo has secured a deal with an unnamed club abroad, Tebo Franklin has teamed up with Swedish club Hacken while Chidozie Obasi has moved to eight-time champions, Enyimba. Other players who have bade the club goodbye are as follows; Haggai Katoh (Plateau United), Emeka Onyema (Kano Pillars), Chinedu Ohanachom (Heartland FC), Ebuka Anaekwe (Wikki Tourist), Galadima Mohammed (Wikki Tourist), Anas Yusuf (Wikki Tourists), Evans Ifeatu (Wikki Tourist) and Victor Okoro (Wikki Tourist). Nasarawa United finished fourth in the standings last season with 65 points, same as third-placed Kwara United, and missed out on a CAF Confederation Cup ticket after losing the Aiteo Cup final to NNL side, Bayelsa United.
