  NPFL: Ndifreke Brace Sinks Abia Warriors By Sampson Adedeji Action resumed in the match day 3 of the Nigeria Professional Football League on Saturday as Abia Warriors continued to search for the first point of the season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Akwa United played host to Abia Warriors at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo and it was Ndifreke Effiong that secured maximum points for the hosts. The Promise Keepers dominated the game from the blast of the whistle and opened the scoring in the 6th minute through Ndifreke. Harrison Ibukun leveled the scoreline for the away side in the 27th minute as Abia Warriors goalkeeper trainer Suleiman Shuaibu was sent off. Seth Mayi released a defence splitting passb to Wisdom Fernando who was brought down by Vincent Edafe and referee awarded a penalty kick which was converted by Ndifreke. All the efforts of Abia Warriors to equalize the game was nullified by the Akwa United defenders and ended the game 2-1 in favour of the hosts.
