Niger Tornadoes Suspend Coaches Indefinitely By Niyi Busari Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Niger Tornadoes have suspended two coaches, Faruk Hussaini and Bello Mohammed following misconduct in their match-day 5 home tie with Rangers at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin. The Niger based club in a statement signed by the Media Officer, Alhassan Kutigi stated that it frowned at the disgraceful and ugly behavior displayed by the officials during the match. "In line with the decision of the League Management Company (LMC) in its summary jurisdiction, in the letter dated 10th January 2022, regarding the Match Day 5 encounter involving (NIGER TORNADOES VS RIVERS UNITED) "Reacting to the letter, the club Management regret receiving the summary jurisdiction from LMC in respect of the incidence that happened in the match day 5 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Niger Tornadoes Vs Rivers United played in Ilorin on 8th January 2022, that led to the immediate expulsion of (2) Coaches (Faruk Hussaini and Bello Mohammed) and other sanctions. The Club wish to state categorically that, it is not in her character to challenge the decision of the league board, hence, accept the decisions of the league board in good faith. "In the interim the (2) Coaches (Faruk Hussaini and Bello Mohammed) indicted have been directed to stay away from all club activities with immediate effect, pending further interrogation by the State Special Interrogation Bureau (SIB), further more, the club is using this medium to apologize to NFF, NRA and the match officials affected as a result of the misconduct. "Similarly, those fingered for misconduct by the Niger State football Association are advised to submit all regulations as appropriate and equally stay away from Niger Tornadoes activities until all issue are resolved. "The club frowned at the attitude and urged all Management Members, Coaches, Players and all its supporters to be good ambassadors of the club and warned that any one found violating the rule of conduct of the LMC shall be dealt with accordingly. "The club therefore reiterated commitment to continuously uphold the governing rules of NPFL and the game of football in general." Niger Tornadoes have been banished to play their NPFL home games in Abuja for their unruly behavior in their last match in Ilorin.
