NPFL: Nikyu Plays Down Enyimba Defeat, Hope For Better Outing Against Rivers United
By Sampson Adedeji
After suffering a 1-2 home loss to Enyimba in the match day 8 of the Nigeria Professional Football League, head coach of Nasarawa United Bala Nikyu has played down the defeat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Lafia based team was on top of the league before the game having secured 2 away wins since the commencement of league.
During a post match conference, Nikyu refused to blame the players but hope to return to winning ways the next match against Rivers United.
"The match has been played won and lost, anytime you go to the field with the aim of either win, draw or lose.
When the league started we got 2 away wins, this one is not a problem, if we win now everyone will be thinking it's okay, so we have to gear up.
We are preparing for the next match against Rivers United and whatever it's whatever its , I just pray that we go out and have a good day.
If you say they've not been given results you will say they are not doing well, if you watch the game in Plateau, it was a good game, for this game now I cannot say this is what has happened.
Though I didn't like the part of the officiating," he said.
