NPFL: Orok returns for Akwa United promise to give best
By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the Nigeria professional football league match day 17, Akwa United striker Orok Akarandut has returned from injury he suffered few games back.
Before he got injured, Orok netted for the Promise Keepers in four consecutive matches, which catapulted the team into the top 3, BSN Reports.
In his absence, the team failed to win three back to back games.
"I have fully recovered from the injury that kept me out. I worked hard to get myself back & I can say that I'm back and better, I am 100% fit and ready to go. I have attended all sessions this week & if I will be considered, I'm ready to give my best.
"We have gone three matches without a win and without a goal, that is not good enough for us as a team, we need to fight for every available points and on Sunday, I can't see how Heartland will escape defeat here in Uyo.
"As a striker, my work is to score goals, but I'd prefer my team to win all her matches irrespective of the scorer. We play to win as a team and not for one person to score. I'm happy that Coach Boboye is building a team in which every player is a scorer," said Orok.
Akwa United will host inform Heartland fc at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo on Sunday.
