NPFL: Pay Our Salary - Abu Azeez Tells Warri Wolves
By Sampson Adedeji
Issues of owing players salaries and bonuses in the Nigeria Professional Football League continue as another player Abu Azeez voiced out on Friday night.
Katsina United players earlier in the week staged a protest to request for the backlog of salaries owing them by the club, BSN Reports.
Nigeria's Super Sand Eagles skipper who also plays for Warri Wolves in the local league Abu Azeez through his social media handle cried out to the club management to please pay the players.
"This is actually a cry for help to appeal and beg for our salaries to be released, we have families out there, we have ourselves to take care of, we Have gotten responsibilities to settle, we have problems to sort.
Kindly take a minute to imagine how the players have been coping or making ends meet at home since the pandemic without their salaries," he wrote.
It's yet to be announced when the league will resume.
