NPFL: Rangers appoints Salisu Yusuf as head coach

The Nigeria professional league side Enugu Rangers have appointed former Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf as head coach, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The management of the club on Sunday sacked Benedict Ugwu as the team head coach following a 0-2 home loss to Akwa Starlets in the 2019 NPFL match-day 5 tie.

Salisu was announced on Wednesday afternoon and he will be assisted by Mbwaise Mangut.

The soft spoken gaffer has been out of job since he ended his 1 year ban handed to him by Nigeria Football Federation.

His first assignment will be CAF confederation Cupp match against FC Pyramids of Egypt.
