NPFL: Rivers United Must Fall - Ejiogu
By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the match-day 25 of Nigeria Professional Football League between Rivers United and Heartland of Owerri, goalkeeper, Chijioke Ejiogu said there's no hiding place for Rivers United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
After having a shabby start earlier in the season, the Owerri warlords seem to have found its stand in the ongoing 2020/2021 league season.
They've continued to impress both at home and away games in their recent matches.
As the match day gathers momentum, Ejiogu fondly called 'Arugo monkey' is optimistic that the Pride of Rivers are capable of picking the maximum three points.
"Football is not played in the media, it is practical. I and my team mates are ready and nothing will save them (Rivers United) this time around.
"Heartland will do the talking on the pitch, Rivers United must fall in Owerri this Sunday," he said.
Heartland are presently at the mid table with 34 points in 24 matches.
