By Sampson Adedeji
Coach of Nigeria Professional Football League Club Rivers United, Stanley Eguma has said they played better in the match-day 20 of the league against Dakkada FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Action resumed last weekend in the second round of the 2020/2021 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League with teams playing one another in ten different match centers.
Newly acquired striker, Sunday Adetunji and Paul Acquah were responsible for the goals as Rivers United defeated visiting Dakkada FC 2-0.
While reacting after the game, Eguma paid tribute to the players for their commitment and amazing performance.
"My players put up a very good effort today. Dakkada FC is also a good side. They fought very hard in today's game but I think we were better. If we had converted all our chances, it would have been more than two goals. Today was a payback time". Eguma stated.
With this result, Rivers United remain in 4th position with 35 points from 20 matches. Two points behind joint leaders Akwa United
