NPFL: Samad Kadiri Optimistic of Winning the League with Lobi Stars

By Charles Ogundiya Lobi Stars will go all the way to win the Nigeria Professional Football League title according to the club’s top scorer this season, Samad Kadiri. Kadiri with eight goals this season said the club had done well for themselves and surely will build on what they have achieved before the World Cup break. Apart from looking forward to winning the title, he added that his personal target was to score up to 18 or 20 goals at the end of the season. Lobi Stars lead the NPFL table with 43 points from 24 games. The NPFL went on break since the start of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup and will resume on July 18 with MatchDay 25 games across the country. “The players and officials are already back from holidays and everybody is doing what they need to do in order to ensure that we win the league at the end of the season,” Kadiri said. “Though, winning the league is not going to be easy, but we have started the battle and we will see it till the end. “Yes, my best is yet to be seen. I am working very hard to ensure that I attain my real potential. I have scored some goals this season but that is not my target. My target is to score 18 to 20 goals so I can help my team to achieve their target of winning the league title.” Credit: newtelegraphonline
