By Sampson Adedeji After securing an away draw against Plateau United, head coach of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has described the point ad valuable, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Pride of Rivers played out a 1-1 draw against Plateau United at the New Jos stadium on Wednesday in one of the rescheduled game of the Nigeria Professional Football League . Eguma at the post match conference praised the players for the way they reacted in the game even when they are one man down. " I thanked the players, they put up a spirited efforts today actually we planned to pick points here having lost two away games. The players shoe it from the beginning of the game when we scored though Plateau United played well but we stood up to them, even when we are one man down, my players show character, we have to adjust out tactical plans to ensure that we did not concede goal but against the run of play that penalty came in and we couldn't do anything than to forge ahead . We were able to contain them till the end of the game. This point is valuable then from there we take it, I think we have some little problem but very soon it will be over. We have ambition this season and that ambition is still achievable," he stated.
