NPFL: Shooting Stars Coach Target Maximum Points Against Akwa United Sampson Adedeji After securing a point in the match-day One of the 2021/2022 season of the league, head coach of the newly promoted side Shooting Stars, Edith Agoye, has said he's not disappointed with the outcome of their game against Gombe United, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The Oluyole Warriors held host Gombe to a goalless draw at the Pantami Stadium and secured a well deserved point. While reacting to the game, Agoye admitted that Gombe is a good team and also very strong. He has however, shifted his attention to their first home game against Akwa United that will be coming up next weekend. "It was a difficult game for us, because it took us a long journey, almost 2 and half days to get to the venue, the players are tired and we came to meet a Gombe United team that is very strong and good. "We are very happy with what the players put up in the game despite the difficulty they encountered but we thank God that we got a point. "I'm not disappointed with the result it was worthy one point, naturally looking at the standard of play Gombe United played better and deserve to win this game but because they couldn't take their chances and our goalkeeper was very good today. "First and foremost we need to adapt back into the NPFL and taking a point here is a step in the right direction. "We are going home to face Akwa United, we will do our best to take 3 points so that gradually our team can involve and stabilise," he said.
