NPFL: Shooting Stars, Gombe Record First Win As Abia, Kwara Share Spoils By Omolagba Oluwayemi The Monday evening match day 4 of the Nigeria Professional Football League produced some moments of joy as two of the newly promoted sides record their first win of the campaign, BSNSports.com.ng reports. At the Adamasingba Stadium Ibadan, Wasiu Alalade was the hero as his 62nd minutes strike earned Shooting Stars their first league win of the campaign. The Oluyole Warriors prior to the win had played two draws and suffered a defeat in their opening three fixtures. The win was a relief for the coaching crew and the whole fans of the Ibadan based club. Another newly promoted side, Gombe United got their first win in style, walloping Lobi Stars of Makurdi 3-0. A brace from Yusuff Abdulazeez (52', 74') and an own goal from Onyeka Onyebuchi (58') was enough for Gombe United to get their desired win. Ademola Adebambo's 85th minutes goal for Kwara United cancelled out Godwin Obaje's 1st minutes opener for Abia Warriors as both sides played a 1-1 draw.
