NPFL: Sports Minister congratulates Bendel Insurance …tasks players on team work,discipline

The Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung has congratulated players and officials Bendel Insurance FC of Benin over the success they recorded the NNL super 8 and promotion to the Nigeria premier league, NPFL.

The minister who was in Benin on Monday to inspect sports facilities ahead of the National Sports Festival to be hosted by Edo, also tasked players of the Benin Arsenal to ensure discipline and to always play as a team in order to do well at the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and as well remain there.
Dalung addressed the players at the University of Benin Sports Complex during their evening training. The minister was at the university sports complex for inspection of the facility which will be part of the venues to support the reconstructed Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in hosting the 2020 sports festival.
"Make sure you play together as a team to attain your goal as professional footballers and I urge you all to watch the video clips of great footballers in the world and perfect your skills.
"Ensure that you have a role modern you are emulating and looking up to, it will help you achieve your desired dreams, " He emphasized.

The minister however called on the management of the club to prioritize the welfare of players and officials and to also improve on it, in order to make them concentrate and avoid distractions of any kind.
Speaking on behalf of the team, the Captain, Charles Omokaro thanked the minister for his words of encouragement, and promised to adhere to the minister's advice.
