NPFL Super 6 Playoffs: Kano Pillars Condemn, Distance Self From Agege Pandemonium

NPFL SUPER SIX PLAYOFFS _ KANO PILLARS FC CONDEMN THE AGEGE INCIDENT

Kano Pillars FC have condemned the encroachment of pitch by some irate fans at the Agege stadium, Lagos after their 1-1 draw with Enugu Rangers in the on going 2018/2019 NPFL super Six playoffs.

In a statement signed by the media officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, he described the incident as unfortunate and no any Kano Pillars FC Official or Stakeholder of the club is supporting such kind of unsporting behaviour.

Malikawa also described what happened after the match as an arrangement by some gangs that didn't want the progress of the Club because they see it clear Pillars are going to emerge as champions after the conclusion of the playoffs.

He further stated that base on what happened on Monday, Kano Pillars FC Management have cancelled it's plan of carrying it supporters from Kano to Lagos today, Tuesday for the final games tomorrow as the fans are yet to arrived Lagos.

"Nigerians should bear with us Kano Pillars FC fans are the most descliplined in the country, which make the NFF to award them with best behave fans Club Award last year during the NFF/Aiteo Award night.

"So what some football fans did yesterday at Agege stadium is unacceptable and are not the true fans of the 'Sai Masu Gida', Malikawa added.

According to Malikawa, Kano Pillars FC drew two matches at home this season but nothing of such happen and even the fans at a point in time cheered match officials as well as visiting teams.

On the issue of captain Rabi'u Ali, Malikawa said that people misunderstood the situation because Rabiu was not in anyway fighting with the referee but was just agitating to him that he blew the whistle while time is not over.

"Rabi'u Ali is one of the best behaved players in the League because I can testify to you that throughout his career, he has not received six yellow cards and that's to tell you how well behaved he is, Malikawa continued.

However, Malikawa appealed to Lagos State Football Association to wake up and improve the security at the Stadium so as to avoid future occurrence and he also said that even the match commissioner of the game and other stakeholders involved will justify his claim.

He therefore, said that the current distraction will not divert the attention the Club from lifting the coveted 2018/2019 NPFL title.

He finally called on the League Management Company, LMC to redouble their efforts in developing the league.
