NPFL Title Is Our Target - Eguma
By Sampson Adedeji
Head coach of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma, has said that the objective of his team is to lift the Nigeria Professional Professional League title at the end of the season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Rivers United is arguably the most in form team in the league presently having won the first three matches of the new season without conceding a goal.
As they get ready to face Wikki Tourists in the match-day 4 on Wednesday, Eguma said their eyes are on the title but they will take each match as they come.
"Our target is to win the league but for now it's not yet on our side. It is not yet time for us to determine. The league is still young so we will be taking games, game after game and then until we get to a stage when we will say yes, we are winning the league."
"We are not going to be boastful because we know it's the game of football but we will try our best to ensure that we maintain our winning streak," he told the club media.
The match-day four between Wikki Tourists and Rivers United is slated for Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.
