MFM coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is delighted after his side scrapped a last minute win over Niger Tornadoes on Sunday in the Nigeria Professional Football League match played at the Soccer Temple Stadium, Agege, BSNSports reports.
Chuks Kennedium scored the all-important goal in the dying minutes of the added time to earn the win for Olukoya Boys.
Ilechukwu admitted that the Ikon Allah Boys posed a tough challenge, the game could have gone either way but delighted that it went his.
“It was a tough game and could have gone either way.
Both teams played well and really wanted to win. Am proud of my boys because we needed this win very much to to maintain our status on top of the league.”
The win lifts MFM with 15 points from seven games.
The Lagos-based side will return to action on Wednesday when they travel on road to face Kastina United at Shehu Dikko Stadium.
