By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the match day 32 of the Nigeria Professional Football League, head coach of Abia Warriors Imama Amapakabo has said they need to recapture their old scoring form, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.
Despite starting the season on a shaky note, the Umuahia based team produced an amazing performance that moved them up the table at a point during the season.
Recently the form of the team has gone deep again to the surprise of football fans and supporters of the club.
During the week in the round 32 of the Aiteo cup, Abia warrior produced another scintillating performance and scored 5 goals against Nigeria National League side Zamfara United.
As they play host to Kwara United on Sunday, the manager of the team is already hoping to get a positive result in the game.
"We needed to get our scoring boots back, you can go back and revisit all the games, watch the videos, you'll find out that we created more chances than our opponents but we've really been unlucky.
"But today, we scored five goals and like I said could have been more, let's just hope we can take this momentum into our coming matches," he said.
After 31 matches, Abia Warrior remained 15th on the table with 35 points.
