By Adams Jesse
Former Nasarawa United goalkeeper Suraj Ayeleso has agreed in principle to join 2018 Aiteo Cup finalist Kano Pillars on a three year deal, BSN Sports reports.
Speaking exclusively with BSN Sports the CHAN Eagles invitee confirmed the report that he was switching from the Solid miners to Sai Maigida after the expiration of his contract with Nasarawa United.
He stated that Kano Pillars came with a better offer and could not reject such deal. He however, admitted he would miss the Nasarawa United fans as well as the club's chairman Bar. Isaac Danladi.
"I would had stayed with Nasarawa United but Kano Pillars came with a proposal I could not reject".
"I personally want to thank the Nasarawa United Chairman Barr Isaac Danladi for been a great leader whom i had a great working relationship with not the forgetting the great people of Nasarawa state".
Ayeleso will be greatly remembered as the only goalkeeper who went an entire season without conceding a single goal en route to the 2015 Federation cup final (now Aiteo cup) and winning the 2017 League bloggers (LBA) goalkeeper of the season award after keeping 16 clean sheets in the 2016/2017 NPFL season.
