NPFL: Why We Lost To MFM FC - Maikaba
By Sampson Adedeji
Head coach of the Nigeria Professional Football League Club Plateau United, Abdu Maikaba, has revealed the reason they lost to MFM FC of Lagos in the match 34, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.
The Church Boys defeated former champions Plateau United 3-1 at Agege Stadium on Wednesday.
The coach explained that he played the game without 10 of his regulars and 5 players made their debut in the game.
"It's good game, we lost to a very good side, MFM FC, but the truth is that the matches are getting too many for the players.
"I know what LMC are aiming to do, to finish the league but they should not forget that these players could get injured and it could also end their career.
"I came here without 10 of my regular players and with the results, we lost, nobody will say we lost some key players, five of the players that played today are making their debut, though is difficult but I'm satisfied with how they played and I believed we have achieved something," he said.
The defeat dropped the team to 9th position with 47 points in 34 matches.
