The former champion, Lobi Stars have won their last three matches having pipped Adamawa United 1-0 on the road and defeated Sunshine Stars 2-0 in Makurdi before beating MFM FC 1-0 to climb to the top.

Former Super Eagles defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe was the villain as he scored into his own net to give the hosts, Dakkada FC a 2-0 lead after Spencer Bassey's 11th minute strike. Bamba Bakary then scored a consolation goal from the slot to reduce the tally in the 88th minute.

At the New Jos Stadium, Plateau United were held to a 0-0 draw by the visiting and inform Akwa United. The result demoted Plateau United to the second poaition as former league winner, Lobi Stars climbed to the top of the log with 27 points from 13 matches.

In a five-goal thriller, in a relegation battle match between Jigawa Golden Stars and Adamawa United, the hosts claimed the maximum points after compounded the woes of the visitors with a 3-2 win.

Kwara United in Ilorin defeated Katsina United 2-0 as FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Anambra thrashed Warri Wolves 3-1 to move to the 7th position on the log.
