  NPFL Wrap: MFM Win The SouthWest Derby As Plateau United Record Their First Win Of The Season By Omolagba Oluwayemi MFM FC Lagos defeated Sunshine Stars of Akure 1-0 in the first SouthWest derby of the season. The game which saw NPFL veteran coaches, Tony Bulus and Gbenga Ogunbote go head to head for the first time in their current positions was settled by Dennis Obasi goal in the 8th minute. Sunshine Stars, known as the Akure Gunners threw all their arsenal at the Olukoya Boys, but the defensive outlay of the Lagos based club adapted well to them all. Israel Abia's goal in the 79th minute spark life to a game that was heading for a scoreless draw and Rangers held on to the goal till the end despite attempts for a leveller by the home side. And in the last game of the round, it was a shocker at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium in Nnewi as Dakkada FC pipped the billionaire owned club by a lone goal. The Nnewi club must have thought they'd come back when Nnamdi Mejuobi gave the visitors the lead in the 29th minute but the Akwa Ibom based Dakkada FC held on to the lead till the end of the game.
