NPFL Wrap: Plateau Back To Top, Heartland Pip Sunshine As Nasarawa Back To Winning Ways

Jigawa Golden Stars on Saturday pipped Lobi Stars 1-0 to give Plateau United an opportunity to get back to the top of the log omce again.
Plateau United are back on top of the NPFL table after they stopped front runners Rivers United 1-0 in Jos and erstwhile leaders Lobi Stars were shocked by struggling Jigawa United.
Plateau United now have 32 points from 18 matches, a point ahead of Lobi Stars, who fell 1-0 at Jigawa United.
Plateau United match winner Ibrahim Mustapha is now joint leading scorer in the league with Katsina United winger Tasiu Lawal after he grabbed his eighth goal of the campaign.
Heartland leapt to seventh on the table courtesy of a 1-0 home win over Sunshine Stars.
They now have 25 points from 18 matches.
Nasarawa United are no longer at the bottom of the table after they beat Abia Warriors 3-1 in Lafia.
They are now 17th on the table with 16 points.
Kano Pillars beat Adamawa United 2-0 in Kano to consign the promoted club to the bottom of the standings. Kano Pillars have now recorded 12 matches unbeaten runs
