NPFL'22: 3SC Returns In Grand Style After Four Years By Omolagba Oluwayemi Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan on Saturday return to the Nigerian Professional Football League four years after dropping to the Nigeria National League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Oluyole Warriors who had been knocking on the door of the topflight league since 2018 finally achieve their dreams after failing at the play-off stages twice. They began their quest for promotion in the NNL Super 8 play-off with a 2-1 win over Bendel Insurance before playing a 1-1 draw against Remo Stars in the match day two, and on Saturday afternoon, they made a mockery of Ekiti United lashing them 6-0 to cement their status in the NPFL for next season. A brace for Gafar Olafimihan, one a piece for the quartet of Chinedu Enuademu, Najeem Olukokun, Anthony Okachi, Najeem Olukokun (PK) did the job for Shooting. With the results so far in today's final game, three teams namely; Niger Tornadoes, Gombe United and Shooting Stars have secured a spot for the 2021/22 NPFL season as we await NNL verdict on the game between Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance which is yet to kick-off due to allegations thrown at NNL by Bendel Insurance on a purported match-fixing scandals.
