NSF 2018: The State of Nigerian Factors A Giant Problem For Sports Dev't

NSF
OPINION; NSF ABUJA 2018: THE SPATE OF NIGERIAN FACTORS A GIANT PROBLE FOR SPORTS DEVELOPMENT. By Nelly Robinson There is no gain saying Nigeria is the giant of Africa. A philosophical study shows a giant as being huge, intimidating, ability to roar withstands defeats and causes terror to adversaries. But to a protectorate, a giant protects, gives secures, alleviates insecurity, builds confidence and offers resilience. Little wonder why the Philistines bragged about Goliath while they had him in their camp and Israel tremble just at the thought of him. Bringing this assertion home, what is Nigerian factor? This is the giant which hinders our very excels, development, achievements, success stories, reduces our Life expectancy ratio, costs us our rewards, forces our youths to voluntary slavery to the western communities and societies and sniffs life out of our children. Nigerian factor will deny a qualified candidate a job opportunity and give the same job to a mediocre who offers bribe for it. It will deny a highly talented athlete or footballer the opportunity to fly the country’s flag at a sports competition and give an average sports man that jersey.
