NTTF: 300 Players Jostle For Lagos Championship By Sampson Adedeji Over 300 table tennis players stormed Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Tuesday for the commencement of the table tennis championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) under caretaker committe chairman Ishaku Tikon last week announced a whopping N4.5 million as the cash reward for the championship. And according to the chairman, the championship is designed to identify good talents that will replace the likes of Aruna Quadri, Segun Toriola, Funke Osunnaike, Olajide Omotayo etc who has represented the country well both in Africa and in the world. He further said they are aware of the talented players that took part in both Abuja and Edo events but promised that they will surely raise the bar in the Lagos championship. The championship is expected to run for 5 days and it will featured 12 events, which includes Cadet (U21), senior and veterans while the prize money will be shared. across categories
