Nwakaeme ink Trabzonspor contract renewal

Nigeria forward Anthony Nwakaeme has inked a new three-year contract with Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor putting an end to speculations over his creer, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The 32-year old one-time capped Super Eagles striker is believed to have met club President, Ahmet Agaoglu to iron his contractual situation out. After the meeting, both parties settled for a 2+1 year contract. A ceiling fee is expected to be charged for the services of Nwakaeme while he will also earn bonuses in addition to his salary. The club will in the coming days hold a ceremony to announce his new deal in next few days. Nwakaeme requested an increase in his annual salary from €1.5m to €2m and also demanded a €500,000 sign-on fee from the club. The 31-year-old has scored nine goals and recorded nine assists in 21 league appearances for Trabzonspor this season. Trabzonspor currently lead the Turkish Super League with 66 points from 27 games, 17 points ahead of second-placed Konyaspor. Nwakaeme had stints withTrabzonspor in 2018 from Isreali club Hapoel Be’er Sheva for a region fee of €1.1m.
