Nwakaeme's Tranzonspor To Appeal UEFA Ban In 10 Days
By Sampson Adedeji
In just one day after the UEFA announced one-year ban of Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Anthony Nwakaeme, Turkish Super Lig side Tranzonspor, the league table topper have said they will appeal the decision.
Uefa said the Super Lig leaders had failed to meet an agreement reached in 2016, when the club were found to have breached the rules, BSN Reports.
The club reacted via its social media handle that they will appeal the decisions in 10 days time through Court of Arbitrations for Sports ( CAS).
"Even through we respect decision of UEFA regarding 1 year ban due of FFP issues, we dont agree with it. We would send complaint to CAS within 10 days," the club said.
The Super Lig resumes on 12 June and Trabzonspor are level at the top alongside Istanbul Basaksehir, with eight matches remaining.
