NIGERIA WRESTLING FEDERATION EXPRESSES READINESS AHEAD OF THE 3rd EDITION OF THE GOVERNOR DICKSON'S WRESTLING CLASSICS.

The Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF) has expressed its readiness ahead of the 3rd Edition of the Governor Dickson's Wrestling Classics in Yenagoa which begins from the 15th to 30th  of this month.

President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation Mr. Daniel Igali in a chat with www.bsnsports.com.ng in Yenagoa said the federation is fully prepared for the competition.

Mr.Igali stressed that the federation in collaboration with the Bayelsa State Government is workout out modalities to have a befitting tournament as compared to previous editions.

He explained that the tournament is important to the federation and the wrestlers because it will serve as a qualification tournament for the African Game's which will take stage in Morocco in August as well as the world championship in Kazakhstan by September this year.

The Bayelsa State lawmaker pointed out that over six hundred athletes from the thirty six states and twelve clubs are expected to participate in the fiesta, and that any wrestler who win in their various categories will get automatic qualification for the two tournament in Morocco and Kazakhstan.

Mr Igali however thanked Bayelsa and Rivers states government for their collaborative effort in the development of wrestling in the region.
