Nasarawa Amazons beat Rivers Angels 5-4 on penalties in the second match of the day after 1-1 scored draw at the regulation time.

Vivian Ikechukwu scored the first goal of the encounter in the 11 minutes before Abiodun Deborah equalize for
the Port Harcourt based team.

The defending champions however soon found their way back in after a period of
sustained pressure in the second half. Ugochi
Emenayo’s long ball forward found Adejoke Ejalonibu who nodded it in after the ball was
misjudged by White in Rivers Angels goal.

Bayelsa Queens hoping to end trophy drought as the battle Nasarawa Amazons on Sundays final, while Sunshine Queens take on Rivers Angels for the third place NWPL Super 4 competition.

Disappointed Rivers Angels Coach Edwin Okon disclosed her girls wasteful for not converting their chances well, but also make some silly mistakes.

He however said that he is proud of the girls as they sequel up against Sunshine Queens in the losers finals..

On his part, Nasarawa Amazons Coach Christopher Danjuma said that he was
grateful to God to have gotten this victory which has qualified them for final, and hope to defend the title back to back for the fans back at home.
