NWPL Super 4: Winner to go on Spain's tour

Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Premier League Aishat Falode has confirmed that winner of this year's Super 4 will go on one week tour of Spain, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

BSN reports that top four women teams in the country, Adamawa Queens, Confluence Queens, Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens will slug it out at the Agege stadium in Lagos for the overall league winner for the 2018/19 season.

Falode made the assertion during press conference conducted during draw of the competition on Wednesday.

She further encouraged the media to be positive about Women football in the country and also to constructive in their criticisms.

"The partnership with the #Laliga is not monetary but technical. The winner of the NWPL19Super4 will go on a one week tour to Spain.

"We also have an agreement with Laliga to send in technical expert from Spain to train NWPL Coaches as we want them updated and upgraded.

"I want to appeal to the media to commend us when we do good and if you must criticise, please make sure it's constructive as it will help us do better," she affirmed.

The opening match of the Super 4 which will commence on Friday November 1st will see Adamawa Queen take Confluence Queen by 2pm while the match between Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queen is fixed for 4pm.
