Odah Marshal’s contract at ENPPI terminated, joins Ismaily
By Babatunde Abidoye
Ismaily have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Odah Marshal , hours after his contract with ENPPI was terminated.
The 26-year-old had only joined ENPPI last summer on a free transfer, and was their top scorer in the first half of the season, scoring six goals in 14 games across all competitions.
However, due to health conditions, ENPPI have
terminated Marshall’s contract, saying that the player didn’t have any medical tests when he first arrived at the club.
They also added that he refused to undergo any medical tests during his time at the club until recently, when they found out he has heart disease.
Hours after the announcement, Odah Marshal has agreed to join Ismaily on a free transfer, signing a two-and-a-half year deal.
He becomes Ismaily’s third winter signing after Benson Shilongo’s arrival from Smouha and Zamalek loanee Mahmoud Dunga.
Marshal will also likely take part in the CAF Champions league group-stages and the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, where they will face Ittihad of Alexandria.
