Odey Opens Champions League Goal Account, as Liverpool Thrash Genk

It was a mixed feelings for Nigeria's Dream Team VII striker Stephen Odey as his club Genk suffered a heavy 1-4 defeat to the defending champion Liverpool in the UEFA champions league match day 3.

BSN reports that the former MFM FC of Lagos striker joined the Belgian side this summer FC Zurich of Switzerland and has been performing and contributing to the improvement of the team this season,

Odey started the day from the bench as goals from Oxlade Chamberlain, Mohammed Sallah and Sadio Mane condemned Genk to a home defeat.

Odey was introduced in the 81st minute for his compatriot Paul Onuachu who started as the club centre forward.

Odey made his introduction count in the 88th minute as he netted the consolatory goal for Genk.

Genk will travel to Anfield in a fortnight and play Liverpool again in the match 4.
