Super Eagles hit man, Odion Ighalo is now the leading goal scorer of the ongoing 2019 African Cup of Nation qualifying series.
The Chinese Super League striker, who scored opener and last goal of the encounter is currently lead the chart with six goals.
Before last night cracker, his hat-trick on Saturday against Libya put his total goal so far in the competition at four, making him a joint top scorer with Zimbabwe’s Knowledge Musona as at the end of the first half of the qualifying tournament.
The 29-year old striker proved critics wrong by opening his AFCON qualifier goal account against Seychelles in September. Incidentally, it was from the penalty spot just as the opener in Saturday’s first leg encounter against Libya at the Godwin Apkabio Stadium in Uyo.
Behind him on the goal chat are Egyptian, Mohamed Salah, Angola striker, Gelson Dala and Madagascar duo of Feneva Ima Adriastsima and Paulin Voavy all recorded three goals.
