Official: SAFA Ends Relationship With EX Bafana Bafana Coach Molefi Ntseki By Uche Dozie Amidst rumours of a possible involvement with the national team coaching crew, South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has parted ways with Coach Molefi Ntseki, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Ntseki whose contract expired at the end of March was replaced by Belgian Hugo Broos on Wednesday. Hugo, former Cameroon coach was announced on Wednesday as the next coach of the male national team for five years. SAFA in a statement, made known that the 51-year-old's time with the body had ended. "The South African Football Association (SAFA) together with coach Molefi Ntseki have officially agreed to part ways amicably, following the senior national team’s failure to qualify for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon)." The coach was promoted from the assistant role under Coach Stuart Baxter for two years to the head coach role in 2019. He oversaw nine international games winning four, drawing two and losing three of these matches. Prior to being the senior national team coach, the Free-State born coach enjoyed a good stint with South African junior national teams including guiding the SA U17 team (Amajimbos) to the 2015 Fifa World Cup in Chile. He also helped Amajimbos qualify for the 2015 U17 Afcon Tournament, where he finished as runners-up to Mali, thus earning a ticket to Chile. Ntseki was also the U23 assistant coach according to SAFA.net.
