Ogbemudia Stadium to host Super Eagles before end of year, says Pinnick

President, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has assured Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo that the Super Eagles would play at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium before the end of the year.
Pinnick gave the assurance on yesterday in Benin after inspecting the reconstruction work at the stadium.
He assured that the super eagles would play international friendly or world cup qualifying match in Benin after completion of the reconstruction work.
"Edo has been the traditional home of footballers, and I am very happy and impressed with the level of work done here.
"Obaseki is truly determined to revive sports in the state, and the reconstruction of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium is a good idea.
"The Obaseki administration deserved commendations for putting measures in place in ensuring that the state regains its lost glory in sporting activities, " He said.
The NFF president however urged Edo people to compliment the present administration's effort in creating jobs opportunities for the youths.
Earlier, Obaseki, who was represented by his Deputy, Philip Shaibu assured the (NFF) president that the reconstruction work at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium would be ready for use in August.
