Ogenyi Onazi Signs For New Club In Europe

Lithuanian champions Futbolo klubas Žalgiris have signed up 28-year-old free agent Ogenyi Onazi, BSNSportscom.ng can report.
The former Lazio, Trabzonspor and Denizlispor midfielder left Danish club SönderjyskE in January and bagged a new contract with the Lithuanian club in February.
Onazi has over 50 caps for Nigeria and won the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Super Eagles. The former Super Eagles assistant captain was Nigeria best player at the 2014 World Cup.
Futbolo klubas Žalgiris , commonly known as FK Žalgiris , Žalgiris Vilnius or simply Žalgiris is a Lithuanian professional football club based in Vilnius. The club competes in the A Lyga , the top flight of Lithuanian football . The club was founded as Dinamo in 1947. The club's name commemorates the victorious Battle of Žalgiris.
FK Zalgiris have won the Lithuanian A Lyga seven times with the first title in 1991 and last in 2020. The details of his contract with the Lyga side was not stated as at the time of filling this report.
