Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers Olugbenga Ogunbote has blamed the playing surface of the Gateway International Stadium, Shagamu as the reason why his team dropped 2 points away to Remo Stars in one of the Wednesday rescheduled fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football league.
Rangers International played out a 0-0 draw against the Sky Blues but Ogunbote feels his boys should have done more had the playing surface of the Gateway International Stadium, Shagamu had been in better playing condition.
The former Shooting Stars tactician said; “If I want to say, I would say its 2 points dropped. Two points dropped in the sense that two points dropped one way and one point gained the other way. We were unable to play our game because of the Turf so that’s two points lost.
We devised a means of not getting home empty-handed one point gained”.
Enugu Rangers has gathered 16 points from 7 matches and will next face Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna on Sunday 31st March 2019.
