Sunshine Stars coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has assured that his team will bounce back from their league defeat to Abia Warriors in a Nigerian Professional Football League game played on Wednesday with a win over Kwara United in their next fixture on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Akure Gunners, who were unbeaten in their last four NPFL matches — three wins and one draw — suffered a 4-1 defeat to struggling Abia Warriors at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
Speaking with BSNSports, the former Lobi Stars coach said the team would put the disappointing display behind them and give a good account of themselves when they welcome Kwara United at the Akure Township Stadium.
“We gave our all best in the last game against Abia Warriors, but unfortunately, got nothing from it despite our efforts.
” I don’t think there is any need to press the panic button as the season is still very long, but we need to get results always
“We have prepared well for the game against Kwara United and I hope things will go our way at the end of 90 minutes.
After eight rounds of matches, Sunshine currently sit seventh on the NPFL log with 13 points.
