Okagbare, Oduduru Disqualification: Nigerians Deserve Explanation - Dare Tells AFN

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has demanded explanation from the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following disqualification of Nigeria duo athletes, Divine Oduduru and Blessing Okagbare at the ongoing 2019 World Athletics Championship in Doha, the minister of youth and sports has said that the Athletics Federal of Nigeria, AFN, should tell Nigeria what went wrong in Doha.

BSN Sports reports that Blessing Okagbare and Divine Oduduru pulled out of the 100 meters race and opted to compete in the 200 m, and 4×100 meters race.

But, the International Association of Athletics Federation, IAAF, disqualified the duo from competing in the competition.

The minister who seemed not happy with the disgraceful development has demanded explanation from the federation.

Recall that Blessing Okagbare also pulled out of the 100 meters race at the just concluded African Games in Morocco. She always does that after her registration to compete in the race.
