Okereke secures draw for Club Brugge, as Dennis benched

Action continued in the Belgian Jupiler league this weekend as Champions league campaigner Club Brugge host Standard Liege in the top of the table clash.

Two Nigeria players, Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis and Dream Team VII attacker David Okereke made the first team of Club Brugge but it was only Okereke that got coache's nod to start match.

The visitors, Standard Liege drew the first blood through Samuel Bastien in the 5th minute to silent the vociferous crowd cheering Brugge.

However, the Nigeria international Okereke restored parity in the 47th minute after off an assist following distinctive footwork by Ruud Vommer.

All the efforts of the two teams to add to their tally proved abortive as the game ended in a 1-1 draw at the regulation time.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Dennis was an unused substitute through out the match after he had an eventful week in the UEFA champions league.
